David and I had a relaxing weekend without an agenda.
On Saturday we spent the morning hanging around Downtown Roswell. It’s a cute, walkable little area with fun shops and restaurants. For breakfast we headed to one of our favorite spots – Gracious Plenty. After breakfast, I walked over to my yoga studio to take a class while David went for a walk. We met back up at Crazy Love Coffee. I love their lavender lattes and the atmosphere inside is great. It was a great morning, strolling around and enjoying our little town. In the evening, we grabbed dinner at a local pizza shop (Pizzeria Lucca) and spent the rest of the evening catching up on Billions.
On Sunday we decided to go walk around Downtown Alpharetta, one town over from us. We’d been wanting to go explore the little Main Street they’ve built up with new shops and restaurants. Our first stop was Valor Coffee, one of our favorite coffee shops. While we were sitting outside enjoying our coffee, David surprised me with a belated anniversary gift – a heart made out of maps of all the places that are important to each of us and to our relationship. The center of the heart is Yosemite, where we got married. It’s such a sweet and thoughtful gift.
After grabbing coffee, we walked around some shops and grabbed lunch at Never Enough Thyme. We spent the rest of the day running errands, meal prepping , and doing laundry – all the annoying crap you have to get done before the work week starts. I’d hoped to take the pups to the dog park, but it was miserably hot and Bernie doesn’t do well in the heat for too long.
I live for these kinds of low-key weekends filled with quality time together, especially since I’ve been working late a lot over the last couple weeks.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Here’s to a short work week and a fun filled 4th of July!
