Living Life

I love the promise that comes with a fresh start at the beginning of a new year. I’m not someone that typically┬ámakes resolutions, but this year I’m making one to live life more fully.

My work week is spent waking up, going to work, going home, going to bed, repeat. My weekends are spent maybe going out to do something fun on Saturday, then Sunday is spent cleaning and getting ready for the next work week. I’m sick of living like a hamster on a wheel. I don’t want to wake up at 70, look back, and see all the missed opportunities I didn’t take because I was worried about taking time off work.

Don’t get me wrong, earning money and paying my bills are important, but so is taking time out to enjoy and live life. I took my current job because it is much more flexible than a traditional legal job, but I haven’t taken advantage of that flexibility. That all changes this year.

This year I plan to travel more, make an effort to explore more of our city, meet new people, take out more time to be with family. and go outside my comfort zone. Life is about experiences, and I’m going to have as many as I can.
