Since I took a year and a half off from blogging, I thought I’d tell you a little bit about what’s been going on lately.
The biggest news is that David and I got married on June 9, 2018. The wedding was amazing and everything we hoped it would be (more to come on that later). I’m so happy and lucky to have David as my husband and the last 9 months have been wonderful. I’m also really glad the wedding is behind us because planning it took about 5 years off my life.
In December we went to Mexico for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time (more to come on this also). We also have a trip to the UK and Ireland coming up that I’m VERY excited about.
Besides getting married, there have been some other changes for me lately. In the past two months I started getting more serious about my health. It was long overdue. I’ve started intermittent fasting, counting calories, and eating much healthier food. I know it mostly sounds like common sense, but I haven’t always had a healthy relationship with food. Taking these steps and ACTUALLY STICKING TO THEM is a big deal for me. I’m also going to yoga 4 times a week and I’ve noticed a huge improvement in my anxiety and my body. Now I just need to work in some cardio to keep my heart healthy and work on burning calories.
The past year and a half has been absolutely amazing. That’s not to say that there haven’t been hard times, but despite any hardships that I have faced, this has without a doubt, been the best year of my life.
